BOOKING INFORMATION AND CONDITIONS FOR
KESWICK SELF CATERING COTTAGES

Self Catering for walking & cycling holidays, Keswick, Cumbria, UK

OCCUPANCY Your cottage will be ready from 3.00pm on the day of arrival. We ask you to vacate your holiday home by 10.00am on day of departure.
Please note, each cottage is offered for the maximum number of people as in the brochure and should not be exceeded. We reserve the right to terminate your booking and ask you to leave, there will be no compensation.

CARE OF COTTAGES Our cottages are in beautiful condition and lovingly maintained to high standard throughout and graded by E.T.C. The guests must agree to treat the cottage with respect, to leave it clean and tidy.

BREAKAGE Please report any breakage or damage of any articles provided in the cottage before departure. We will try to replace or put things right with minimum inconvenience. Breakage or damages caused by neglect may be charged, in this case, we will contact you within 2 weeks.

LINEN & TOWELS Linen is provided as requirement of individual property. Towels are NOT provided.

GAS & ELECTRICITY Supplied at no extra costs.

ACCESS TO THE PROPERTY Occasions may arise, when we will require access to the property, to carry out essential emergency maintenance, ETC inspections etc. In most situations, you will be notified prior hand of the date and time access is required.

LIABILITIES No liability is accepted in respect of loss or damage to the client or any member of the party, to their baggage, car or contents including money resulting from theft, riot, war, strikes, adverse weather conditions or any personal injury, or sickness however sustained or caused. No rebate will be made of any kind.

COMPLAINTS If it is felt that there are reasonable grounds for complaint about your holiday home we must be contacted immediately so that appropriate action can be taken during your stay. No such matters can be dealt with after completion of your holiday.

PETS are strictly NOT welcome. Sorry.

COTS these are available at an extra charge of £10 per week. Must be ordered at the time of booking. Sorry, we do not provide cot linen.

CANCELLATION SCHEME
For your protection and peace of mind this Holiday Insurance is compulsory and the Scheme fee is £20 per week or £15 per part week (which is also a booking fee is to be paid in advance at the time of booking and in addition to the relevant deposit).

  SUMMARY OF SCHEME

The Scheme relieves the hirer upon cancellation from the liability to pay the balance due of the rental or the full rental value where cancellation of your holiday is a result of any of the following reasons: Death, illness, accident, pregnancy, compulsory quarantine, jury service or witness summons of yourself or any person with whom you intend to travel or the hirer’s spouse, children, parents, parents in law.

IF YOU HAVE TO CANCEL
a) Before you travel: Please phone us immediately and confirm in writing to us the date. All correspondence will be forwarded to our insurance broker to proceed with your claim.

b) During your stay: Please contact us immediately, in the event of your holiday being cut short for any of the above reasons. You will probably be reimbursed for the unused portion of your holiday rental. This only applies if the property is vacated by all members of your party.

c) If the reason for cancelling your holiday is not covered by the above terms then the rental is due in full.

THE SCHEME DOES NOT COVER

a) Disinclination to travel
b) Failure of private or public transport services, other than due to strikes, riots, or civil commotion.

c) Suicide, attempted suicide, insanity, the influence of alcohol or the effect of drugs not taken in accordance with treatment prescribed and directed by a qualified medical practitioner, or booking a holiday which is, or would be, against the advice of a qualified medical practitioner.

d) Any loss which is otherwise insured by a travel insurance, or a travel insurance provided as a benefit by a credit card, or an annual travel insurance, whether part of an home insurance policy or otherwise.

e) Any claim arising directly or indirectly from the failure or fear of failure of any computer program, to recognise or to correctly interpret or process any date as its true calendar date, or to continue to function correctly beyond that date.

f) Any claim directly or indirectly arising out of any nuclear, chemical or biological contamination due to any terrorism.
